Procedure Matrix

This general guideline provides an overview of refractive surgery procedures depending on age and amount of refractive error.

To use the guide, first determine your refractive error from your written prescription, contact lens bottle or have our office measure your current glasses. Then look on the line corresponding to your age to determine the procedure indicated for you.

As you can see, sometimes more than one procedure is possible. Your doctor will use your individual eye characteristics, your vision needs and cost differences to help you determine which procedure is right for you.
